Jolly Yeti
An original character art toy, grown into a blind-box brand.

Design one character well enough, and it can become anything.

Liquid Chrome edition.
Overview
A character, and the system that makes it collectible.
Jolly Yeti is an original blind-box collectible: a small, fanged snow monster in a puffer jacket, popsicle in one hand, a tiny skull pendant around its neck. Cute, with a bite.
The real design work was the system around the figure. One character sculpt that could carry dozens of finishes, where every finish is its own collectible and still unmistakably the same little guy. Series 01 lands as twenty characters across five sets, with secret chase figures and a golden reward hidden inside.

The YetiVerse
Put them in a room, and they become a cast.
Once there were enough finishes, they stopped being variants and started being characters. Gold is the loud one with the remote. The glow-in-the-dark skeleton is a little unsettling. Slime is exactly who you think.
The YetiVerse is where a colorway system turns into a world: the same figures, together, each one with a life of its own.

The brand
From character to brand.
Jolly Yeti grew from a character into a brand: a name, a world, and a website where Series 01 comes to life.
The site introduces the blind-box reveal, lets people meet the characters, and opens a waitlist for the first drop.

Character design
The read had to work at two inches tall: a round silhouette, oversized head, two little fangs and horns, and a puffer jacket for bulk. Friendly at a glance, feral on a second look.
The edition system
One sculpt, many finishes. Each edition pairs a material (chrome, glow resin, translucent jelly, gold) with a lighting environment built to sell it, so the finish reads instantly even as a thumbnail.
From toy to brand
The character became a brand: naming, a blind-box model with five sets, chase figures and a golden reward, and a launch site at jollyyeti.com with a waitlist for Series 01.
Tools & process
Character and environments explored with generative tooling, then art-directed and curated by hand, dozens of iterations down to the ones that stay on-model.
